IRCP 2019: Avengers Assembled

Twelve teams assembled their most fearless warriors in a battle to prove grit and sportsmanship as this school year ignited Roxas Hall’s Avengers in the Intern Resident Consultant Program (IRCP) last August 5 to 10, 2019.

The teams were composed of representatives from the different batches: Amare et Servitium Patriae (ASP), Advocatus Gloriam Salutem (AGS) and Dum Vivimus Servimus (DVS) who braved different challenges required in each of the twelve stations.

Leading the pack to victory in the “Endgame” were Toledo (DVS) and Lumbo (AGS) of Team Hawkeye. The “Infinity War” challenged the teams with different tasks provided in the twelve stations on a race towards glory. Team Dr. Strange with Mahinay (DVS) and Legaspi (AGS) leading the group proved the fastest team to finish the race with the shortest recorded time. Meanwhile, Team Hulk led by Aliste (DVS) and Dominguez (AGS) garnered the fastest record irrespective of finishing the stations.

Minor awards were also given. Team Captain America won the most points in the weekly tasks while Team Dr. Strange and Team Thor followed respectively.

Team Captain America presented the best banner with Team Nebula and Team Captain Marvel following the lead. The teams were into the hype as they showcased their cheers and yells. Team Hawkeye clinched the first place, Black Panther placed second and Captain Marvel placed third. The awards for the best Mascot were also given to teams: Captain Marvel, Nebula and Captain America, respectively.

The WVSU – CoM Medicine Student Council (MSC)  hosts the IRCP program annually with the aim of fostering camarederie among students as part of welcoming the freshmen into the four corners of Roxas Hall. “We hope that this event showcased not only the prowess of the teams but also promoted friendship and trust among batches”, Tonee Golez, the current MSC Chairman stated.
