WVSU COLLEGE OF MEDICINE ADMISSION FOR AY 2023-2024

Admission Application Requirements and Procedures:

Reminders:  There are two (2) categories of applicants.  Applicants must make sure under   which category they belong before proceeding. It is emphasized that there are applicants who have previously been enrolled at WVSU but don not yet have an IUIS account. These applicants belong to category A.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Applicants are strongly enjoined to read carefully the instructions in  https://wvsu.edu.ph/how-to-apply-using-the-online-application-module/  before proceeding with the application process.

 

CATEGORY A

 

Those who do not have an Integrated University Information System (IUIS) account.  Applicant who has never been enrolled in the past in any course at WVSU.

CATEGORY B

 

Those who already have an IUIS account because they have previously enrolled in another course offering at WVSU, including elementary, high school, college and pos-graduate courses.

They should file their application electronically and upload required documents at the official website of theUniversity https://iuis.wvsu.edu.ph/iuis/applicants/

 

 They should send an email informing the admissions committee of the College of their intention to apply and send the copies of all the requirements (scanned) to com.admission@wvsu.edu.ph.

 

They should have a clear scanned copy of the following documents available for uploading during the online application:

 

Requirements:

* Machine Copy of NMAT results (at least 70%ILE)

*Original or certified true copy of Transcript of Records.  (For applicants from private schools, the TOR should be validated by a Special Order from the Commission on Higher Education.  For applicants who have not yet graduated at the time of application, the TOR should cover at least seven semesters of school work for the degree being pursued.)

*Diploma or Certificate of Graduation (Certified Photocopy; for applicants who have already graduated)

*2 pieces, 2×2 ID picture (taken within 6 months)

*Copy of latest Income Tax Return of parents/Certificate of Tax Exemption from BIR (Non-working parents)

*Copy of live birth certificate from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)

*Certificate of Residency or Voter’s ID

* Certificates of Good Moral Character from the following personnel of the institution where the applicant has graduated or is presently enrolled:

* Guidance Counselor or the Dean

*Faculty member / professor

*Official receipt (OR) of application for payment

Application requirements must be submitted personally, through authorized representatives, or through mail/courier addressed to:

     * Application fee in the amount of P400.00 may be paid in cash or through postal money order or manager’s check payable to West Visayas State University (not WVSU, not West Visayas State University College of Medicine). Personal checks are not accepted. Applicants must make sure there are no corrections/alterations in the check, otherwise the University cashier will not honor the payment. 

      *New students are admitted only to first year class in the first semester.

      *Application for admission starts and ends on the dates set by the College.

     *Accepted applicants who are eligible to enroll for the incoming school year must confirm their

      respective slots on a date specified by the College.

     *Accepted applicants must undergo and pass the Physical Examination to be conducted by the

       West Visayas State University physicians and dentist.

     *Students qualified for admission are considered officially registered only upon payment of enrollment fees.

  Deadline for submission of  application:   June 14, 2023
