Summer in Roxas Hall has been alive once more as the different batches return to their beloved hall for this year’s Balik Roxas Hall Alumni Homecoming celebration. It has been a tradition for the alumni of West Visayas State University – College of Medicine to return and reminisce their days as medical students and rekindle and meet with their batch mates during the Balik Roxas Hall held every year.
This program was held last July 11-12, 2019. The first day of the event was dedicated to the celebrating batches: 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, and 2009 where they had a Barrio Fiesta themed party in front of Roxas Hall. The doctors took this opportunity to take off their white coats and for a few hours be themselves to enjoy the company of each other, laugh out loud as they join various games, and enjoy the Filipino foods.
The highlight of the alumni homecoming was held on the second day (July 12) which started with a Holy Mass at the West Visayas State University Medical Chenter (WVSUMC) Chapel which was immediately followed a foot parade of the participants to Roxas Hall. A Disco Party themed fellowship night was then held at the Grand Xing Imperial hotel.
