WVSU-COM posts 100% passing rate; Two graduates top March 2019 PLE
West Visayas State University – College of Medicine garnered a 100% passing percentage in the March 2019 Physician Licensure Examination with Dr. Clinton Rosita Rabadon of Class 2017 (rating of 89.83%) on the topmost rank, marking a historical feat as the first graduate of WVSU-COM to seal the first place in the roster of topnotchers. With him was Dr. Temie Paul Baguio Villarino on the 9th rank, posting a rating of 87.42%.
With Dr. Rabadon on the first place was Jan Bendric Co Borbe of the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
Among medical schools, Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation secured the first place with a passing rate of 97.96%. Our Lady of Fatima University- Valenzuela (82.16%) and Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine, Inc. (81.08%) ranked second and third, respectively.
Batch Excelsior (Class 2017) embodied transcendent excellence following Dra. Jill Uy Au who ranked tenth (rating of 89.58%) on the September-October PLE last year. Ninety-one out of 94 examinees from WVSU-COM passed the Sept-Oct 2018 PLE with a passing rate of 96.81% securing the 7th spot among 52 medicals schools in the country.
A total of 1,209 out of 1,759 examinees (76.71 %) passed the March 2019 PLE.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the results on March 14, 2019, three working days after the last day of examination.
